Business leaders support UN deal to cut greenhouse gases

Senior executives from 140 companies, including airport operator BAA, power company Eon and oil giant Shell, have published proposals for an international agreement to cut greenhouse gas emissions under the Kyoto Protocol from 2012. The proposals were aimed at influencing the United Nations climate change negotiations in PoznanĀ“, Poland that took place in early December (see pp 6-8  ).
