The site, which makes household cleaning products, is regulated by the Agency under the pollution prevention and control regime.
Officers visited the site after receiving complaints about a loud droning noise one night in March. They found that shortfalls in maintenance and inspection of a cooling water pump had contributed to the problem.
The notice requires the company to carry out nightly noise surveys to prevent a reoccurrence. The Agency said noise has been a long-running issue at the site and, while improvements had been made, more could be done.
