Shake-up of Northern Ireland water legislation
The unpopularity of water bills in Northern Ireland has proved a catalyst in hatching the historic agreement between the Democratic Unionist Party and Sinn Fein to form a power-sharing executive. Household bills have been put on ice, but legislation enabling a new structure for the province’s water and sewerage services has continued to emerge.
