Agency beefs up policing of emissions monitoring

The recent suspension of three monitoring firms from the Environment Agency’s MCERTS accreditation scheme for stack emissions has forced the UK Accreditation Service to introduce surprise inspections. The trade association for the emissions testing sector says corner cutting is rife.
