£20m for low-carbon public sector vans

The Department for Transport has earmarked £20 million to buy lower carbon vans for the public sector. The DfT hopes to encourage manufacturers to develop vans with lower carbon dioxide emissions. It says no mass-market models are available in the UK, despite the technology being in existence.
