DuPont hit with $16.5m fine for chemicals reporting failures
DuPont is to pay a record fine to settle claims that it withheld health and environmental information on PFOA, the chemical used in the manufacture of Teflon. Although the company will pay $10.25 million in fines and a further $6.25 million on environmental projects, it has not admitted liability.
