EU study finds 'legal vacuum' on reuse of polluted soil
The European Court of Justice ruling in the Van de Walle case has left a "legal vacuum" with regard to the potential reuse of contaminated soil across Europe, according to a new study.1 It calls for the legal definition of waste to be amended to support sustainable soil treatment and recycling practices.
