Agency will struggle with wider remit, firms warn
The Environment Agency will struggle to cope with its new responsibilities involving products and diffuse pollution unless it acquires the necessary funds and skilled staff, business organisations told the House of Commons Environment Committee in January. The business lobby also complained about permit charges.
