'Incredibly polluting' leaks cost chemicals manufacturer £180,000

Chemicals producer Robinson Brothers has been fined £63,000 with costs of more than £120,000 following a series of chemical leaks that polluted a canal near its West Bromwich site. The company, which is certified to environmental management standard ISO14001, disputes it was the sole cause of the pollution despite pleading guilty.
