Oil firms struggle with Buncefield firewater disposal

A safe means of disposing of more than 22 million litres of firewater and waste oil from the Buncefield oil depot fire has still to be found - nearly three months after the incident. The delay has been caused mainly by the presence of PFOS - a toxic chemical that can only be destroyed by high-temperature incineration.
