Scotland making slow progress on site clean-up
The slow pace of brownfield redevelopment in Scotland is leaving vast areas polluted with residues from coal mining and other heavy industries, according to a Scottish Executive survey.1 Ministers have pledged additional funding to help local authorities remediate sites in badly affected areas.
