EU ministers back away from cuts in GHGs
EU environment ministers backed down from their earlier view that greenhouse gas emissions should be cut by 60-80% by 2050 when they met for their quarterly Council on 9 March. They also called for the European Commission to have less power to approve genetically engineered crops.
