Scottish oil storage rules come into force
New regulations aimed at reducing water pollution from oil storage facilities in Scotland were issued in April.1 The Scottish Environment Protection Agency has also issued guidance on the regulations. These entered into force on 1 April, but allow six months before the first compliance deadline.2 They were put out for final consultation at the end of 2005 (ENDS Report 372, p 40 ).
