Nanotechnology falls through regulatory gaps
The UK’s existing environmental legislation is inadequate to address potential risks posed by nanomaterials, according to a study commissioned by the Environment Department (DEFRA).1 Many of the gaps stem from lack of knowledge about nanoparticles.
