DEFRA shies away from action on dioxins

The Environment Department (DEFRA) is unlikely to make any firm proposals in its action plan to reduce exposure to dioxins. Recent studies reviewed by DEFRA's dioxins strategy group conclude that more research is needed to address uncertainties over releases from industrial and domestic sources.
