Sewage endocrine disruption project gets started

A £45 million water industry programme to demonstrate potential oestrogen-removal technologies at sewage treatment works is now under way. Scientists at several universities and institutes have also begun work on a collaborative project to investigate what impact the removal of oestrogen discharges will have on fish populations.
