Scottish and Southern Energy rapped over carbon neutral claims

The advertising standards authority has ordered Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) to withdraw a leaflet telling subscribers to its ‘Power2’ green energy tariff that it would plant trees "to balance out the CO2 that your gas heating and household waste produces."
