Air freshener suppliers fight back against health risk claims

European consumer group BEUC has been ordered to issue a public retraction concerning claims it made about the health risks posed by air fresheners after it lost a court case in the Netherlands brought by US manufacturer Sara Lee. Meanwhile, UK air freshener suppliers have reacted swiftly to recent studies suggesting a link between indoor chemical exposure and childhood asthma.
