Thames and Bexley settle over Crossness sewage odours
A Thames Water appeal against a statutory nuisance notice issued by the London Borough of Bexley over odours from Crossness sewage treatment works was finally upheld in crown court in April after a 19-month battle. However, the council was pleased by the outcome as an amendment abatement notice was agreed setting out a revised plan for the operation and council oversight of the works.
