£140,000 fine for onion bhaji odour nuisance

Spurway Foods, a company producing onion bhajis and samosas at a factory in west London, has been fined £140,000 for causing a nuisance to local residents and businesses by failing to abate emissions of strong spicy odour. The extraordinarily large fine appears to be the highest yet for odour statutory nuisance offences.
