Top scientist walks out of bisphenol A testing panel
An eminent zoologist has left an Environment Agency-led panel guiding risk assessment of the oestrogenic plastic ingredient bisphenol A following a row over test methods. Professor Jörg Oehlmann alleges that industry has "deliberately selected" test conditions to mask low-level effects of the compound on snails.
