Supermarkets pledge to cut packaging waste
Thirteen of the UK's largest supermarkets have pledged to "deliver absolute reductions" in the amount of packaging waste thrown away by their customers by 2010. The Government's Waste and Resources Action Programme is "confident" a similar target will be set for food waste next year.
