Commission clamps down further on particle emissions from cars
The European Commission is proposing deep cuts in particulate emissions from new diesel cars, under new Euro V emissions standards to come into force in 2008.1 It also wants the new rules to apply to sports utility vehicles, which until now have been covered by less stringent limits for light commercial vehicles.
