Chemical spill costs firm £8,000

On 21 July, Rochdale Magistrates court fined GNG Foam Converters £4,000 after it pleaded guilty to polluting a river with cleaning chemicals, contrary to sections 85(1) and 85(6) of the Water Resources Act 1991. The company was ordered to pay a further £4,342 in costs.
