Ministers adopt landmark deal on REACH

EU competitiveness ministers have reached a political agreement on the ground-breaking REACH Regulation despite a stand-off on substances of very high concern. The European Commission requested at the eleventh hour the right to amend key technical annexes within a year of it coming into force.
