Benefits of oil pollution regulations 'threatened by light touch policing'

New regulations aimed at stopping thousands of oil pollution incidents will fail without a properly funded programme of inspections of oil storage facilities, the Environmental Industries Commission has warned. The Environment Agency says that inspections would be not be an appropriate use of resources.
