Landfill operators confirm interest in separate cells for hazwaste

Major landfill operators have confirmed that they are likely to invest in separate cells for stabilised hazardous waste at non-hazardous landfills. But they are warning that delays in issuing permits and technical guidance could still leave a shortage of void space for hazardous waste when co-disposal is banned in July.
