Second prosecution looms for Britannia over fridges

Britannia Import and Export is likely to face a second prosecution by the Environment Agency for offences relating to the storage of fridges at its sites in the Greater Manchester area. The company and its director were fined more than £35,000 in August for illegally storing and scrapping old fridges (ENDS Report 343, p 53 ).
