Legal practitioners seek better environmental justice

Leading environmental law practitioners have taken issue with the Government's claim that the British legal system provides effective public access to environmental justice. A study by the Environmental Justice Project has concluded that a specialist environmental court is needed to hear all civil environmental cases, backed by immediate changes to court rules to relieve the financial burden on applicants bringing public interest cases.
