Scottish councils late with contaminated land inspections

Three-quarters of Scottish councils expect not to complete inspections of their area for contaminated land until later than 2005, according to a survey for the National Society of Clean Air.1 Only two sites have so far been served with notices formally identifying them as contaminated.
