SEPA appoints new corporate management team

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency has announced the appointment of four new members of its corporate management team as part of a restructuring started earlier this year (ENDS Report 348, pp 11-12 ).

Colin Bayes, current acting director of environmental protection and improvement, has been confirmed in post.

Richard Claughton moves from head of human resources at the Environment Agency's Thames region to become SEPA's director of HR and organisational development.

Calum MacDonald, acting director of environmental and organisational strategy, is confirmed in the role.

Chris Spray, Northumbrian Water's environment manager, joins SEPA as director of environmental science.
