DfT and oil industry ponder the route to low-carbon road transport
The Department for Transport has set out its thinking on the development of biofuels and hydrogen as the two most likely technologies to deliver deep, long-term cuts in CO2 emissions. But the oil industry is arguing that improved vehicle efficiency means that alternative fuels will not be required until after 2020.
