Thames Water 'gets off lightly' for repeat sewage pollution

Thames Water has been fined £10,000 after a sewer with a history of pollution problems overflowed, killing over a thousand of fish in a tributary of the river Darent. The case was referred to crown court by magistrates who felt that the incident was serious enough to deserve a more severe penalty.
