Northern Ireland may scrap sub-regional waste plans

Northern Ireland's three sub-regional waste management plans may be replaced by a single plan for the whole province, according to the Department of the Environment's response to a recent report from its Waste Management Advisory Board.1 But the DoE disputes the need for an implementation plan, arguing that the current strategy review fulfils the role.
