Dell bows to shareholder pressure on computer recycling in the US

Dell has become the first major computer manufacturer to commit to setting recycling targets for IT equipment in the US, following pressure from ethical shareholder groups. But competitors Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Apple and Gateway appear to have no plans to follow suit.
