New local noise and waste powers under scrutiny from MPs

New powers for local authorities to tackle fly-tipping, noise and other nuisances feature in the Anti-social Behaviour Bill which completed its Committee stage in the Commons at the end of May. But MPs are expressing unease about whether the Bill will add bureaucracy and enable nuisances to be tackled effectively.
