Survey finds slippage in contaminated land regime

Implementation of the contaminated land regime in England is at risk of slipping, according to a survey by the National Society for Clean Air. Many councils are falling behind their targets for completing inspections of potentially contaminated sites, and are concerned about the lack of supporting guidance and the legal complexities of getting them remediated.
