Agency to review 'low impact' permitting under IPPC

Plans to give chemical companies with low environmental impacts a lighter regulatory touch under the integrated pollution prevention and control regime have attracted little interest from operators, according to the Environment Agency. Companies say that low impact applications are not much less onerous than making a full application.
