Scrapping rail freight saves CO<SUB>2</SUB>, Royal Mail claims
Royal Mail is claiming that a reorganisation of its national mail distribution will reduce its CO2 emissions by 30%. It claims that the cut would be limited to just 5% if rail freight were to continue, but transport groups and the ditched rail-freight company, EWS, are unconvinced.
