Agency consults on abstraction trading
Ideas on how firms might trade in rights to abstract water have been put out to consultation by the Environment Agency.1 It believes that farmers and water supply companies will be particularly interested in buying or selling abstraction rights - especially in areas where water resources are fully committed.
