MPs focus on fluoridation and quarry abstractions in debate on Water Bill

Forceful objections to the Government's plans to pave the way to fluoridation of drinking water were voiced by an overwhelming majority of MPs who spoke during the second reading of the Water Bill in the Commons on 8 September. The quarrying and mineral water industries also mustered support in their campaign for long-lived water abstraction licences.
