More delay for guidance on local air pollution controls

The timetable for updating guidance on air pollution controls for processes regulated by local authorities in England and Wales has been revised for the second time in less than two years. The slippage, which is due mainly to staff shortages at the Environment Department, means that updating of permit conditions which are now a decade old is likely to take place up to four years later than originally scheduled.
