Flexsys fined for 'reckless' storage which led to major effluent spill
Chemical manufacturer Flexsys Rubber Chemicals has been fined £10,000 for a spill of more than 200 tonnes of acidic effluent from its Ruabon works into the Dee, a major water supply river. The court attributed the incident to the company's "reckless" storage of corrosive effluent in tanks meant only for water.
