Scottish drinking water still 'needs improvement'

Scotland's drinking water needs to be improved, the regulator has concluded in his first annual report.1 Although compliance with regulatory standards improved slightly last year, microbiological compliance deteriorated. The report also reveals that the regulator's first recommendation that Scottish Water be prosecuted for allegedly supplying unfit drinking water was not pursued by the Procurator Fiscal.
