Think tank sounds warning on road traffic's rising CO<SUB>2</SUB> emissions

Carbon dioxide emissions from road traffic are set to grow much more quickly than official forecasts suggest, according to a report by the Institute for Public Policy Research.1 It also warns that a move towards road user charging - currently under tentative consideration by the Government - could increase CO2 emissions unless action is taken to offset the falling costs of motoring.
