Landfill firm gets £24,000 penalty for employees' misdemeanours

A Hampshire landfill operator was ordered to pay £24,000 in fines and costs in October after admitting that employees had taken cash payments for accepting unsuitable wastes. Staff had also consistently failed to register lorry movements in the site record book.
