Oil fingerprinting catches Antrim polluter
A serious oil spill from a disused factory in Antrim, Northern Ireland, has cost the site's owner almost £19,000 in fines, costs and clean-up expenses. For the first time in the Province, a forensic oil fingerprinting technique was used to identify the source of the pollution.
