Supermarkets divided by refrigerator campaign

Supermarkets are feeling the heat once more as Greenpeace stokes up its campaign to persuade them not to resort to hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), which are greenhouse gases, as they search for substitutes for ozone depleting chemicals in their refrigerators. Greenpeace has singled out Tesco, but the move appears to have prompted the firm to dig in its heels even harder in favour of HFCs.
