Water company pays damages for sewage pollution

North West Water has agreed to pay substantial costs and damages for polluting a wildlife habitat with storm sewage overflows. The out-of-court settlement is a significant success for the Anglers' Cooperative Association (ACA) and may now encourage many similar actions.
