Concerns over environmental consultants' insurance cover

Almost 60% of environmental consultancies with professional indemnity cover (PIC) are not insured against claims arising from gradual pollution incidents, an ENDS survey has found. For certain types of work this may render the cover worthless for their clients. The survey also suggests that several schemes intended to raise professional standards among environmental consultancies have yet to be valued by their clients.
